I think I understand you ixion, it looks like you have experienced a problem with the print out.
The clue should read
Tart enveloped in curvaceous figure makes out (6)

And it's printed a box instead of the 'fi' in the word 'figure'

I didn't experience it because aristo sent it me direct.
Do you need a copy sending to your email ixion?

No probs Les, it's completed...the print preview was perfect just the actual print-out was ropey

I loved that clue. By the way, there isn't a single F in the grid. What are the odds?

aristophanes, I have some news, I have just finished the last clue for my Harpers like crossword.
I will have to go through it all properly to look for any mistakes but if all is well, I'll put it on here after work tomorrow. I'm not gonna stick it on now because I will have to format all the size settings and I need to get to bed soon. Can't afford to stay up too late tonight as I'm up early tomorrow.
