Jar piercing muscles - we'll have covered miles! (7)
Sylvie
The third letter is 'O'
Sylvie
From the same X-Word:-

Source of butter suitable for festivity, millions attending (5)

_ A _ _ M
Jolan
Hi you two!
Just 'fishing'. What about ABOLLAS? Abs = muscles; olla = a jar. abolla = a moth or a Roman cloak, so can't quite explain this (unless it's as obscure as a moth covering miles??) Over to you!
Sylvie
I think you are right Jolan! Can't exactly read that clue to the answer but it looks OK. If it is correct then this is one that should be easy for an expert solver like you! :-

Flexible drainage channel (6)

_ I _ B E _
Jolan
When I said 'you two' I thought there were two contributors. Sorry. Any luck so far? Dunno how obscure AZED is. The only word I could remotly suggest is PASHM = underfleece of a goat (butter???). Pash (short for Passion {a festival??}) + M. Hope I'm not misleading you. Love to know the answers + explanations. Just curious.
Jolan
No expert Sylvie. LIMBER (a double) = flexible and a D channel
Sylvie
Limber. I was unaware of that 2nd DD!

Try this:-

Musician round centre of Frisco, one keen on paradigms (11)

_ R I _ C _ _ _ _ _ _

This assumes that the 'c' mentioned above is correct based on a connection answer being correct. The Answer was replace. The clue (7) was Cord, delicate fabric substitute.

P(RISC)IANIST = a grammarian (interested in p's)
