I've just seen this, emrach....food very good, especially the fish. We drank only La Palma wine - the whites were also very good, though the reds were a bit thin and no better than OK.

Really good to see that you are still around, RE - I was worried after the contretemps I read about last week.

Might "Phil's wife" be "er" by any chance?

I have laid aside a half-finished Guardian (Rufus indeed - usually the easiest compiler) and am now stuck on the SW of the RT - brain exercise definitley needed.

Yes - I can't remember the chef's name (Phil something, obviously), but I remember that FERN Britton is married to a chef.

Absolutely correct - Phil Vickery is his name (not the rugby player - however he did win Celebrity Masterchef if I remember correctly)
