19 d, lainey?
I don't entirely understand this one, but I have an answer that makes at least partial sense. It's a French word.

hi lainey
19d is French and is a "sound alike" clue.
Evans is the surname of a comedian. His first name *** sounds like the first 2 letters of the answer. The remaining 3 letters sounds like "say" (to speak)

hi chrise
If you look at google images, you may recognise him. I have seen him live and he is somewhat in the style of Norman Wisdom, throwing himself about on the stage !

So some found todays easy! I found it the hardest for several weeks, and I am still not happy about my 15ac or my 21dn as I have never known the word I have meant "swallow"

Wally. It`s an ugly slang word - not one I (or you) would ever use! I imagine it means drinking straight from the bottle.
Don`t tell anyone - I still haven`t got 15ac !
Mags.
PS What`s happened to Old Gal??

I'm not 100% about my 15ac - it nearly works. My word is more familiar as an adjective with a D on the end.

mags
15a. the first letter and the last 3 = a word meaning "to satisfy a desire (or appetite)". the remaining 3 letters = to lapse or wander from the straight and narrow. Whole word = Make cuts. HOpe this does it.
