Oh thanks for letting me know, SB .. I didn't know that. (As always) it would have been helpful and saved some wasted effort if all details had been given by the original poster.

So for no. 44, the first letter of the first word is either 'L' or 'M'?

Or the first letter of both words = 'L..' and 'M...' ??

Sorry ! The first letter of the first word has to begin (got it right this time lol) with L or M.

I think I've got it ....... think of two vegetables ! lol

In croeso's defence I seem to remember that in some quizzes the answers are in alphabetical order but there can be a number of different answers begining with the same letter.
croeso might not have as many surrounding answers as silly boy.
I fully agree that it is frustrating when helpful details are left out.

i was thinking of the slang for the second word and could not match it with anything for the first word. we used to use the slang for a hole in your sock
