Thanks, pastille et al. We only got about an inch of rain here, but there were gusts up to 60mph and one of our 100-foot spruce trees looked as if it was anxious to get away. It looked so violent out there that I was stunned to see so little damage this morning, though of course the weaker trees went bye-bye in Irene last year. No shingles off the roof, no broken windows or skylights, no crushed skulls, so can't complain. It was horrible elsewhere.
