I set crossies just for pleasure. I wonder if some of you excellent regulars would like to try a few of my clues? Since they're new, no letters!

Hello, Jolan. Just checking in. Only see 1 right off, but have to walk the property to assess hurricane damage (whew! a big one!). Still have a few Joint Effort clues to figure out too. I'll try to get back.

Gosh Ari! From my top-of-the-post, I hoped you'd escape too much of Sandy. Hope the damage is not too bad. My cousin in Baltimore just told me it's only expected to have the effect of a 'bad storm' there. Best wishes

Just had a quick look as a break from gardening. 3 I've possibly done, and 5 too, if I'm slurring my speech!

4, not 3.
btw is anyone else finding that the first letter of the post isn't registering? It's happening too regularly for me, on both computers, for it to be user-error, I think.
(I had to go back and put the "4" in)

Really struggling today Jolan, 1 only so far....can't wait to see the solutions.
My keyboard seems to be suffering in a similar way Chris regarding the first letter.
