Sorry, sent last post too soon!
I have nothing for Uva.
For marsupials - I've got the 3 letter word on the far right, reading upwards and this is linked to the word at 28 D, again reading upwards. I also think the word at 17 D - but again reading upwards - is part of this group (they all lack a four-letter ending).
I'm not 100% sure of the 1st unclued, next to 1 A. - at the moment I have it beginning with 'P'.
Can you give me a hint re Uva? All I have as a possibility is the word reading upwards from 25 A.

Also, I had ghost, elite and sack as a group because they lead to anagrams - but then I got the Eliot title and this has confused things for me!
Hope my posts make sense.

Thanks! Uva is the word which would usually be 1d. The word to be entered doesn't mean uva.

I have anagrams for all the ones I've got defined - albeit some anagrams are more muddled up than others (was wondering if that was the way to link them, but I'm not convinced)

If my answer for 'toddy source' is right, it's not an anagram. My answers for elite, ghost, sack and part of Eliot title are straightforward anagrams, tumblers and marsupials seem to lead to words in reverse, with the end missing. (Can I ask what letter your 17 A begins with?)
I'm afraid I must be worn out - am still getting nowhere with Uva.
Did you have any thoughts re 'Singular theme word'?

My 17a begins with T.

Uva is an anagram.

No idea on singular theme word, but it is either the word at 1a or 17d as I have linked the others to a definition.

Doh - don't know how I missed that one! My 17 A had a T too, so thanks for the confirmation. My grid is totally filled now - but I have no idea of what I've to highlight. I think I'll have another attempt at making three groups of three.
Will post again if inspiration strikes!
