I knew it, as soon as I asked for help, I'd get the answers - I'm just too competitive for my own good...
As Jazzgirl says it was not as hard as last week's, but it still gave the old brain cells a work out

Enjoy your garden - I tidied mine up this morning, but nothing strenuous - just a case of brushing the decking - I'm afraid I'm not a gardener, and plants die of [not so] benign neglect.....
Hello, to all those yet to post - hope you're all keeping in good health and spirits - we've actually had sunshine over the last two days in [almost] sunny Sheffield....

There I was, sailing along quite nicely, then I found 19 down. That could have been anywhere. So, after a laborious trek through the dictionary, I think I am finished. If I am correct, this one ends in z. Otherwise, back to the drawing board.

Best wishes for now.

oh, Pipesmoker, I hope for my sake [if not your own] that it doesn't end it a Z - I've got an American state, so if I'm wrong, can someone help there [19d]

Oh, Pipesmoker. Now I thought `European` meant add `e` so I have the same four letters as you (I suppose) but an American state !!
