The last letter of 21a held me up for ages too. On the whole I thought it was a really good puzzle with some very clever clueing.

Glad it wasn't only me! The right answer is one of my favourite things, too.

Excellent, Les, well done. Not sure I understand all the triple defs, but near enough.

If Les is anything like me, he mows the lawn whenever it is dry enough - mine was last done about 10 days ago (I may have trouble finding my way out to the road)

I don't do lawn mowing, I have flagged the front (very nicely) in Indian stone and laid a patio at the back, I will get back into gardening when I'm much older.
