You are quite right, aristo - my mistake!

I should have thought of indictaing TITAN as the definition!

Meant to say exceptionally lucid, proving my point. Such a relief, ChrisE. The first color I thought of was tan for some reason, but it didn't seem to work. Phew!

I was gonna question the Titian clue as I was looking for 'it' inside a painter to find a colour or 'it' inside a colour to find a painter, I was left scratching my head when it came in as Titian the painter...
However, when I looked up Titian in the Chambers, it has an entry of 'Titian red' which is a colour named after and used by the Venetian artist, so Titian itself is a colour (A striking red) So you get accidental brownie points for that one Chris, well done pal.

I assumed the colour titian was a huge part of the clue...

anyway looked fun again...even though I had a bolero afternnoon.

Hi I was referring to dwhfcsomething clue way back at the beginning, and my reply at post 27...did not realise at the time I was on the right track because our posts went out so close together.
