Catholicos is the patriarch, but should I enter 'catholiccos' or 'catholicoos'? My first thought was the former, the extra 'c' coming from Catholic, but I've now confused myself totally.

None of my dictionaries spell it COLABORATE (10). Anyway, the original post did say 11 letters which added to my confusion.

27d: Pour the tea on afternoon rostrum? (4) Assuming BEMA(A), don't get the tea thing.

Aristo, I was/am as baffled as you with some of the clues, even though I've finished.
For 21 A. I saw 'canel' in hurriCANE Lamp and went with that. I assumed, but didn't check, that 'cannel' was a word.
