As already noted, the vehicle is "baby doll" and the player before LINK is eli [wall]ach.

Every = each
Remainder of wordplay "note the sacred syllable" = li????

Been tooling around before leaving for work but keep checking laptop for updates. Just not clicking today, ixion. Wish I could stare at it for a while and wait for epiphany.

This is obviously harder than I anticipated to get started, though one answer and LINK should make everything clear. In style it's (meant to be) a nod to Paul.

In each case a first name or surname of the player undergoes LINK to create an invented character - the created word is a real word but the whole is nonsensical.

AB came very close with firin(g) in anag of cloth, different synonym for ignited required in the wordplay.

Have to leave in a bit, was trying to use (L)IT.

So, could Eli Wallach become Eli Stomach, or something like that? Om being the sacred syllable, and list (?) being note?
