Have you improved at all, Paul?
Dave Barry was right in one way. I went to a staid Scottish University in the early 60s, where the men wore tweed jackets, and chemists were not obliging to students. Still had a marvellous time.
paul: I thought you were even younger than that!
Rosalind: When I was preparing to go off to college I read in the school guide that "men must wear jackets and ties in all classes and at all meals". I stocked up on tweeds, etc., only to find that most men were wearing jeans and T-shirts and sandals; the rules had just been changed!
A sample of Dave Barry. I love the remark concerning universal nudity. http://www.davebarry.com/president/dave2k/columns/french2.htm
