My 'nae' meant 'not any', though it can also mean 'no', I think.
'Naw' means 'no' (as in the opposite of 'yes')

My goodness AQER!
How do you people understand each other!? Or do you? I couldn't make out anything the mob with the pram were saying. The high hats weren't much clearer.
Our Newfies are quite eloquent by comparison.

This programme has been showing on British TV for ages. When we first saw it we got about one word in three but now understand almost all of it- it's literally like absorbing a new language.
