Thanks Polly Dee. It took a few minutes mainly because I was trying to work it out using the name Mac!!

I read the poem, too - groan. 62 1st word a sort of golf club plus y (end of day) plus old fashioned word for 'near to' and anagram of 'deaths'.
also thought 37 must start 'red'

Going through the quiz prior to sending it off (with many gaps) and I see that for one question I have half an answer. I'm sure the bit I have is right but can't get anything to go with it. It's No.67 Charlie, taken by mouth initially - rely on one's testimony, or check identification (9.6). I'm sure the second word is ORCHID but despite going through many lists of orchids that would fit the first part of the clue, can't get anything to match. Can anyone please point me in the right direction?

setter maybe = dog
last in iris = violet. (iris [the flower] takes it's name from the greek for rainbow. and the last colour in the rainbow spectrum is...violet.
