Perhaps not everyone is so arrogant as to assume that the fault must lie with the setter...

Bullfrog, the best clue does not always win CLUELESS and that is part of the charm. You can always ask for explanations after the competition has been judged. I've enjoyed our chat- let's just agree to differ.

rambler, you seem to be missing the point that it's blue moon -- who's judging the competition -- who has asked for explanations!

Bullfrog, just look at your post no 43! I've tried to be polite so let's just agree I've completely missed the point and the competition would be improved if every clue came with an explanation. I hope you're happy now and you will let it rest.

Congratulations, rambler, for taking 'missing the point' to an Olympian level, but my post 43 was a response to blue moon's post 38. Surely even you can't miss that point!

Bullfrog, whatever you say is absolutely correct and I'm a complete idiot who's not fit to lick your boots. Will that do?

If only I thought you meant it rambler! The way you meant it a few months back when you threw your toys out of the pram and stormed off never to return to this site because you'd decided not enough people offered their congratulations on your winning entry.
