I think my first effort looks very clumsy if the intended wordpay is not picked up. You were supposed to arrive at WARIBASHI- Japanese chopsticks. I quite liked it when I posted but it's too opaque.
Thank you for the explanation, rambler. It was another one that puzzled me. It would have been a good clue for waribashi. Still, I've learnt yet another new word - quite an education this week.
