Has anybody got 6 and/or 7 or are we all stumped?

I'm stumped, but I've not quite given up yet.

A Eureka moment on 6. Doughnut. Ugh (expression of disgust) ins. do (party) + nut (activist). Doughnutting is when a group of MPs surround a speaker in the otherwise sparsely filled chamber, for the benefit of the TV cameras.

A few hints..

6. has a definition part longer than the cryptic part
7. the clue number is strangely fitting!

i've just come in and made a start on this - well, on 6, 7 and the link.
Ixion-it would suit me very much if there was an apostrophe missing in the clue to 7. If not, I'm on the wrong track altogether!

7 Dwarves. Doves with war replacing o.

Yes, my reasoning for 7 IS correct - I'm off to have an apple by way of celebration.

Well spotted peterm - in before my hint - I worried slightly as to whether ugh=disgust was fair without mentioning "expression of" but decided stifles pointed in that direction.

lol..I'll need to improve my typing speed - it's all over! - well solved everyone
