Congratulations to peterm and thanks to aristophanes! 4 pages of entries in 24 hours is pretty good going :o

I must confess, however, to not being bright enough to understand peterm's winning clue. Could one of you please explain how it works.

Thanks guys, and especially aristo. Loved your summary - had no idea I was being so subtle!

Lionheart - it was supposed to be a sort of &lit complex anagram - "he loves keeping under" less the letters of "god even I", with the first part also serving as the definition.

I've just sent off my effort for this week's AZED. Hope this is a good omen!
