Hi All Am thinking that the THINGYhas lost its pull so I am ready to divulge all and eat the sweetie myself.
Should like a few comments about closing down from friends before I do anything

I'm sure very clever people got their heads round it,you competely lost me! Also it seemed to me,can I say,bit hard on folks over a short time. They,me et al are trying to complete favorite crosswords during the week,some the month. However I bow to your superior knowledge.Still cant work it all out,so I gave up.
But, well done for all your hard work

i hit a brick wall with some of the clues(its ok though,i'm quite thick skinned - and,yes,packydurm is one that escapes me).

Maybe some hints - or interaction allowed to us posters - would be better than just eating the sweet?

Progress report - got down to 4, possibly 3 left, but I think they're beyond me.

Rather than pull it, why not allow a collaborative effort where everyone can give the answers they've got, and then pool the answers to finish the thing(y).

I must admit that, given the effort this would have taken to complete indiviually, I gave up in preference to the many prize crosswords that I always have on the go.
