Thanks from me too, Jill. Like Bees, I had not thought of hollow as a noun.

Hope Old Gal is managing to weather the storms of life.

Hi all! A lovely sunny day today. I have been thoroughly MOT'd and go in for my op next Wednesday which is quite good really as I will be able to take in next weeks RT and struggle over the crossword in between visits from the drug trolley! As regards this week - can anyone give me further clues for 18a and 20a. Am completely stumped on these. Thanks in advance

I had decided to visit this thread only to wish Old gal all the very best for next week.

My reason for not visiting the thread is that I cannot do it all all!!!! After 3 days I have only got 3 answers (4 now as I can include that dinosaur thing that Flipper2Law mentioned).

Hi Old Gal.
18a - a person such as Trotsky or Lenin
who rises up against the political system
running his country-then beheaded ie remove the initial letter.
20a - Bishops first then over the top. The
chamber is in a prison.
Hope this helps.
I wish you well for next week.

20A (If I've got it right) died 100 years before Caravaggio. It seems quiet without Cara here, doesn't it?

Finding this one challenging, but getting there.

Best of luck, Old Gal. Hope you recover well and are soon romping round the Cotswolds again. Will be visiting you in my head. xx

After my initial unproductive attempts at this crossword, I started again and have now finished it. Did anyone else find 29A quite a convoluted clue? But it was nice to have an artist included.

Good luck for Wednesday Old gal. You will be in my thoughts.
