is FROM CHINA TO PERU

so was almost right with a guess, wow, however, can't understand the one about samuel johnson at all.

now i guess about the primate, doesn't mean animal, which is where i was going.

emf, the Johnson quote is:

"Let observation with extensive view,
Survey mankind, from China to Peru"

It's the opening of "The Vanity of Human Wishes", and a great example of the hideousness of tautology.
