Yes, This has bothered me too. Ideally I would have said WINDSURFS, but of course this doesn't have enough letters. I actually sent the puzzle off after having entered WINDSURFER - though I wasn't happy with it. A lot of people seem to be having trouble with this one.

I'm a bit confused here Dandelion. Have you sent off the puzzle with what you believe is the right answer and given someone else a different answer. Or given someone what you now believe is the right answer thinking the one you have sent off is wrong. What do you now believe is the right answer?

After due deliberation I submitted mine as surfer - it seems to me to make more sense that way.
