All done! I had the answer for 30ac sitting in 13 ac.
What a very clever puzzle, with a delightful twist at the end, making it all clear.
The final push involved some research, but what else could mr and Mrs Dylan do in bed in a Sunday morning but look through a list in Wikipedia!

I have half filled the grid and solved almost all clues however must have gone wrong as really stuck now with top left corner. Help with the letter that goes at the beginning of 1a/1d would help please

There are only two letters which can satisfy both across and down entries. It's the letter occurring later in the alphabet.

I thought that was one of the best Listeners I've done. Some clues relatively straightforward, some tricky - Corbett's funny story was the last thing completed and I still haven't parsed Last Burmese title).

Grid fill was steady but I'd solved most clues before I started. The amount of cold solving is the only quibble.

Several PDMs and a LOL at one point.

granama1 - For the Burmese title think of a former UN secretary general.

As completed probably you don't need wordplay ... But a respectful Burmese title is just one letter amidst what Europe is shortened (less one letter)...
