Tomorrow, March 14th, is known as Pi day. So, in recognition, herewith a tribute:

The Pi Theorem’s clearly a lot complicated - more’s the pity he, strangely withdraws, baffling a rival. (10)

Many thanks to all who entered this week`s Clueless Competition. I enjoyed reading all your clues and appreciate the hard work and skill you have put in - appreciate your help with explanations too! Picking a winner is so difficult and all the entries mentioned were contenders.

Of the `Anagram` based clues I liked Geting`s @3, Jono`s @6 ( local alert ) and Buddy`s @11 ( Double Feature ). Aristo`s @20 `hidden`, Geting`s @8 ( `Ret` for `Soak` ) and Jono`s @15/16 ( `Colonel` ) all made the shortlist. Mattrom`s determination to bring Mr Capone to justice and SS & Geting`s epic `super - subs` are all worthy of mention. SS – I did manage to work out your @35 – very good! I may have to have a go myself!

This week`s Clueless Winner is Peterm @29 with ...

Pawn, maybe, makes black piece capture queen after barely believable comeback (10)

Well done Peterm, your prizes are inspired by SS & Geting ...

Well done Peterm - top clue.

Thanks Tyke for hosting and having the perseverance to wade through our bizarre offerings.
Nice to see rhubarb getting a mention - good for the bowels and also a good anagram indicator. Take care.
