Congratulations, Buddy! I enjoyed the puzzle and certainly didn't find it a write-in. Refreshing (and more challenging) when so many of the clues in published puzzles are recycled.
Re hyphens - I think in barred puzzles the letter count is shown as if it's one word, but not in the black-and-white grids.
