Is it really 21 weeks since 4000? Tempus fugit...
A fairly typical affair this week - anagrams, hiddens and rhyming pair with one or two trickier clues.
I've still not parsed 25a although the answer is clear from the crossers.
An enjoyable 60 minutes, thanks Everyman.

25a N for nephew inside 5 letters for suit (verb) all inside 4 letters for untidy state

Took me a while to sort out some clues, have not really got 26a ( ?e?s ) but enjoyable.

Don't understand 16a, used to love 23a around the time I started doing Everyman with my mum in the 70s.

So 23a is my CoD for that reason.

Last one to get …16a. Glad it’s not just me.

Yevrah, 23 also took me back - I had a Saturday job in a bakers in the mid 70's, and my job was to fill them!

16 (I think) parses as 1-letter abbreviation for German, followed by 5-letter word for 'let down' (physically, not emotionally, if that makes sense!), then final letter of scowls.

Parses 1,5,1. In the end refers to the first “scowls”, the next one is the defn.

I thought this was quite tricky actually. Not helped by the number (8 in all) of those pesky four letter words ;-)
