I have been working through old Genius Crosswords from the earliest available on-line. Many of them do not have instructions which makes it more interesting to say the least! Slowly, slowly I am getting through them but this one has me stumped. I have solved the majority of the clues, but just can't figure out the rule for entering into the grid. Not anagrams, not cycling letters, not antonyms or partner pairs or any other trick that I have learned with Genius crosswords as far as I can see. No solutions are available on line and I have searched in vain for any blogs or threads to help. Is there anyone out there who may remember doing this who can offer clues or help to get me over the final hurdle? With thanks as always.

To atone for above gaffe, I found a link at

although no preamble shows.

Great stuff, geeker, many thanks. I’ll have a crack over the weekend, and see how I get on

Look forward to hearing your thoughts. The backlog catalogue without the instructions is huge, frustrating, brain-twisting fun. If you work out how to fill in the grid for this one, please let me know
