I've done it now, but can anyone explain 14d. It's obviously "asymmetric" and there's obviously an anagram somewhere. But it's not an anagram of "society may" or of "system..." although both these contain some of the letters.

(S for society + may) anagrammed + metric (a sort of system).

Hullo Helena. The clue was "Society may struggle with sort of system that's irregular" (10). I'm afraid I didn't recognise S as an abbreviation of "society". As often happens, I saw what the word is and struggled [that word again!] to fit it to the clue.
