I am having a lot of trouble with this puzzle. Anyone give me a push with 1 across and/or 1down?

I have 'bellows' for 1 down, if that helps??

1a - think of a large woman resulting in a word for being married twice (at the same time!)
1d - simple double definition - what do you use to get the fire going?

1 ac. getting spliced is slang getting....... - people often do it in a church and the Lady enters to Mendelssohn (is that the spelling?) Well, if you do that twice, you could be committing ......
1d. is a device for introducing wind into fire. Backsmiths might use them to make their firre burn brightly. I think musical organs may use something of the same name to provide their wind.

2d - Dropping a note = Mi reversed = im

2d It's a Yiddish word (plural). Think of a Spanish artist without the last letter and then one of the notes from do, re, etc
9ac 3 letter word meaning knowing around 'a'. Rather obscure word and it is not sly!
11ac Synonym for a jester with s in meaning the universe
