Woodsman to steal from bird,say(4)N?C?
To steal is nick, and bird is time spent in the nick, ie prison, but woodsman? Am I on the wring track?Help!!

Hi MH

The woodsman may be a reference to the Wizard of Oz - i.e. the “Tin Man” or “Tin woodsman” who was once a man of flesh and blood known as Nick Chopper.
