Well done Jack and Big Dave with the answers for clues 2, 3 and 4 (see post 2). I actually had the word 'has' rather than I've for clue 3 but that was close enough.

Can anyone come up with the answer to clue 1 (post 2)? I don't know the answer to Jack's clue (post 4) - do you?

Has anyone else any past favourites they would like to share?

Clue 1, Post 2 could be "candid", which means Frank and has one letter more than Edith. I'm not sure that that is sufficient justification for an answer.

It can't be Victoria Croos, can it? Cross as in the name of a place - or Military Cross.
