In reply to the cribbage .... do you not score for all the separate runs that you can make as well??
4, 5, 6 = 3 points
5, 6, 7 = 3 points
6, 7, 8 = 3 points
4, 5, 6, 7 = 4 points
5, 6, 7, 8 = 4 points

No, but 2,2,3,4 would count as 2 runs of 3 and would score 6 plus 2 for a pair, ie a total of 8. If the turn card were say another 4, that would be 12 for runs, 2 for a fifteen, plus 4 for pairs, ie 18.
But 2,3,4,5,6 only counts as 5 for a run plus 4 for 15s, ie 9.
I would suggest you take up bridge - harder but more fun.

Hi Alex

The crib question is :
In a normal game of cribbage you have the 4,5,7 8 of hearts and the turn up card is the 6 of hearts; what is your score ?
After a correction from C, I reckon that the score for this hand would be 14.
15-2 15-4
56789
+5 for a flush
Thanks for your interest.

Thanks for no 80, squizball.

Yes I'm sure you're right. Not sure that C is though, I think you need all five cards to be of the same suit to constitute a flush, your own four aren't enough.
