A hint? It is ultimately an anagram, but there are in fact 3 pointers to the word:- first of all, China - cockney rhyming slang; then tea, the word "told" is one of the extraneous words referred to in the preamble - asnd lastly the anagram. Now - you have to get it.

Thanks AJT - all clear now. Had the answer but couldn't see it! The China bit had me flummoxed since the answer is in the wrong continent. Good one, Dumpynose.

Hi. Everybody else seems to have finished this, and I've got there without asking for help until now. I'm struggling with the word play for 15d and 27a. I'm sure it's absolutly obvious, but my brain is ready for the weekend. Any help would be gratefully received.
Many thanks
