I found last week's easy , but this week.....!!

Who is the sports commentator - Clare somebody? 'Sports Commentator recalling bad location 5,7' I think I have C?A?R? ???D?N?

And I'm sure that 'Greatest rehearsal for medical drama 4,8' is obvious but I can't see it. Assuming the last word of 2d is SNAP then so far I have P??? ??A???C?

Ah!! The sports commentator has just come to me. My wife told me that she thinks there a person called Clare Baldwin - However I assume she means Clare Balding.
Too much time on crosswords and not enough watching sport!!

1. "location" take to be an anagram of "recalling bad". She is prominent on BBC if not exactly a commentator; more a presenter.

Sorry everyone, I started this up then went AWOL without giving anyone any help. Family crisis I am afraid - mother in law fell badly and broke her hip. Now in hospital awaiting operation.
Pleased to see however that others have taken up the challenge.
