Think i've finally finished - can someone confirm the logic for 1A - I'm taking it as Kid(bor(ough))'s with tall - L replaced with S(his ending being right)???!
Seems rather tenuous

BO(y)S becomes BORS. "His ending" being (R)ight.

Tom explained TALL earlier. Thought the place was spelled with one L, though.

Which other clue still requires resolution?
