Once again, many thanks to all of you for taking part. Much to like, as always, including the straight anagrams from ChrisE @2, SteveA @14 and the Rogue @17, and Mattrom's concise @15. However, beating Seamus @4 into second place, I'm going for BigBadMarty @11 with the excellent:
Pressing the red button before time ? Turn off ! (11)
My word choice was prompted by the latest British Army recruitment adverts which have caused some controversy with their emphasis on trying not to deter any potential cannon fodder on the grounds of sexual orientation, religion etc. The prize I wanted to post, but couldn't access, was a very non-PC video of part of one ad immediately cutting to a clip from an old TV comedy series - you'll see which one. In juxtaposition, I found it amusing. (It's strange that, in comedy programmes in those days, there was blatant homophobia, racism etc., but no swearing, whereas now it's generally the opposite. If it's lampooning the bigots, I don't see the harm). Anyway, imagine, if you will, these 2 clips running seamlessly together.

Although I recognise the need for our armed forces, and respect and am thankful for the job they do, (but not for the people who send them into conflicts like Iran etc.), I do worry that some youngsters, especially in times of high unemployment, see a career in the armed forces simply as a means of gaining an apprenticeship in some profession whilst forgetting that, in the course of their duty, they may be called upon to kill some people, or that there will certainly be people who will want to kill them. I leave you with the following thoughts a couple of ladies have on the subject.
