My slow typing coincided with stevea's vote; so 9 out of 13 now cast: so ixion @ 16 now level with aristo @ 18 and Jws @ 25 on 2.

So glad I peeked in !
With all votes now cast it's a 3-way tie with 3 clues each attracting 3 votes; ixion @ 16, aristo @ 18 & Jws @ 25. Back soonish with my "winning" choice.

Firstly, thanks for all your clues to "not the easiest" answer to be clued with that awkward "j" and, in my honest opinion, there were some very good entries that didn't get (a) vote(s) but perhaps individually just 5 out to the 3 that tied in 1st place?
Not an easy decision and jws as much as I really rate the "finding" of Jude the Obscure, I don't see "for" as a container indicator, pity. Aristo, as usual,I am finding it difficult (rather than the more obvious adjective) to ignore a D cup but on this occasion my casting vote goes to ixion with

Seismic prior to daughter assuming power?

Again, I imagine your prize is considered politically incorrect today (you have been warned) but in my (and many others) opinion just funny when first aired.

Until next week, cheers.

Apologies, copy and paste after amending typos seems to have distorted my intended post.
5 out should be lost out and ixion's winning clue should be

Sexism prior to daughter assuming power?

Well done ixion and thanks to busby, chrise and pigale for the votes.
Thanks also to ginge for setting and picking a worthy winner.
My clue was a combination of two anagrams “woeful price” and “jude the obscure”. I missed the containment option
