That would have been an excellent entry, Rosalind, and I'm sure Paul wouldn't have objected to you submitting it. With reference to your @11, I was trying to work out something using "away" as a homophone of "aweigh", but didn't quite get there.

It doesn't get any easier to separate the wheat from the chaff because I can't see any chaff! ChrisE's clue could have been a contender if it hadn't been " just for fun." Only clue I almost asked for a parse of was BBM2 @19, then the penny dropped - nice misdirection.
