Oreintfan, the 4th and 5th of the nine omitted letters occur in 14A and 16A respectively. The omitted letter is the last letter of the answer in each case. Sleep well :-)

Completed without the need for help from this forum this time. I have one slight worry. My interpretation of "tracing" the two identical words is to draw a vertical line on either side of the words. An aletrnative explanation would be to either trace all the cells on the right side or all on the left side.
In both cases the lines are not all the same length. Two are 4 cells long and 2 are 5 cells.
My understanding is that one of the most important features of this innovative product is its uniformity of length.

In the original news item though the items were draped fitting with the grid depiction.

I'm having difficulty visualising how you would "drape" a nine letter word to give equal sides..
