Hi Steve,
It's a composite of the names of my two dogs, Mattie and Rom, and SW's dog is called Skye. I often wish I'd used a different name, but when I registered I had no thought that I'd become so involved in the forum.

I took Paul's clue to be an example of the sort of joke a smart alec might make.

I did get the joke......but not the rest.
I think Skye is a labrador but don't know if Mattie and Rom are setters or not!

I think Skye is a golden retriever (Skyewalker used the breed to set a clue once, do you remember?

I did not know about Mattie or Rom!

I knew Skye wasn't a scottish terrier (and to the uneducated retrievers and labs are very similar! ). I can't remember the clue but obviously got the info from somewhere.
I also knew that Mattrom was named after two dogs.

Sorry Rossim, did not mean to lecture! it's just that I love Goldies, I had one myself for many years and still miss him a lot.
