Have pretty much finished this but would appreciate some help with parsing. 6d: Unspecified number, crime in the Spanish capital going up, never going down. I've got an answer, with a 4 letter capital and a 3 letter synonym for crime, but can't see where Spanish comes into it. Also 22ac: In goal, attempt catches. I've a 3 letter word for goal and another for attempt, but don'understand the definition

Thanks both of you. Had both the words but couldn't see that el was Spanish (doh!) And was trying to make catches the definition rather than a pointer.
