Also finished but would welcome the correct letter where 4 down and 16 across meet. Thanks

orson. End (stub), cycling, i.e. move first letter to last, gives 'tubs'. Look up kid no. 3 in BRB.
notrab. The letter you are looking for is 'o'

Thanks, xij. I think the preamble should have mentioned that that meaning for tub is not in Chambers, considering it mentioned two words that were in Collins.

Hi, Orson, If you look in Chambers under "kid", the third separate entry for this word gives the definition "a small tub".

Fair comment Wintonian. However my ed. of BRB (12th) does not list 'EENSY' only 'TEENSY'. I 'm having trouble with missing letters and have only 19 cells of the reqd. 22 so have no idea as to the curved line . The top seems to indicate a heart shape! Is this ok so far! Help reqd. Cheers

Can someone confirm 4 down please. The last two letters are part of the curve.

Thanks djawhufc. I think the S comes from 24 across. Having completed AZED 2316 on Sunday - in which the answer to 23 down was ARGALI - I had mistakenly entered that for 18 across instead of ARGULI. I seem to have invented fish-eating sheep!
