Thank you, the rogue, for your explanation.
It is hard to envisage.
Rays did mention previously that he thought he had a "Y" but has got everyone flummoxed by this!
(I'm suppose to be writing letters.......!)

I know this isn't correct but the notion amused me. The North Nofolk Railway is the Poppy Line so the stations could be 'Poppy Stations' so we have...

CORN POPPY STATIONS

Daft, I know....

It's strange you should say that Chiarroscuro, as we live only a few miles away from Sheringham Station, the start of that line.
Thanks

Thank you all, and both elle and therougue for your input on this one.
The only other way to solve it, is if we swap the "Y" for the "D", making the word, as you said " FIELD" in the answer for "corn field station.".
And the letter " D " in "Radio"
Third shaded box in the clue.
We are lucky with this, as Andy Warhol has only one letter "D"

CLOCK R A D I O STATION "3rd shaded box "
This then would be CLOCK _ _ Y _ _ STATION
Hope this makes sense.

Regarding poppy station - there was a gigantic sculpture of poppies built at Waterloo Station as part of London Poppy Day in 2015.
I wonder if this could give rise to "poppy station"?

Isn't it a bit odd to use the same word "Station" in 2 different clues?
Could it be compiler error?

Perhaps they meant field instead of station?

Hence:

Corn poppy field

Just a thought...
