Can any parse this please:

1D "Take (house physician) lozenge" (5) - RHOMB

I see HO + MB as house physician but how does R relate to take?

R = Take = Recipe (Latin). It's in Chambers and has cropped up a couple of times recently.

In case I didn't word that very well, here's the actual information from Chambers,

r or r. abbrev: radius; recipe (Latin), take, right, rule (law).

The word 'recipe' is in italics.
