Yes, it appears I have blundered! Although Chambers gives a definition of Martian as "of war or battle Spenser [i/] it doesn't really mean warlike. Here's a rethink,

Man from Mars, not a speed freak (3,6)

Oops - bungled the italics as well.

Biker guy takes a right, man, and crashes (3,6)

He speeds down the track. Brace myself! Head on train crash (3,6)

Stay by the sea, lapping, right, the Isle of Man, champion! (3,6)

Ultimately it's you I'm angry at ignoring a Hairy Biker ! (3,6)

Cheers mattrom. I was mainly checking to see if I was missing a greater subtlety. I understood you're meaning but, as you say, martian doesn't directly mean warlike.
