Hi, Derryn! I went all around the houses with 6A!
I got whim, removed the h, stuck an s in front (from second) ended up with swim, but then couldn't reconcile it to reel ? - so decided my thought processes were all wrong!
In the end , I put whim in as the answer- not being able as I
as I thought to parse the clue!
But that of course wouldn't fit with "When I fall in love" which was what I wanted to put in for 7D!
All finally sorted - I'm disgusted with myself - but did you think that swim meant reel?

Swim (intransitive verb) to reel or seem to reel
My head began to swim; the room seemed to swim around me

I had even looked it up in Chambers!
I've just checked again...... I missed the bit where it said "to be dizzy"!

Song on life will have moving, overwhelming emotion finally

When I Fall in Love - famous song
on life will have moving - anagram of on life will have.
emotion finally - last letter = N
n N inside the anagram.
