Finished except 34dn, been all through the dictionary so must have gone wrong somewhere. I have ?o?ie.

Your letters are correct and the answer IS in Chambers. It begins with a J. Hope that's enough/not too much help?

PS. It's always better to give the clue as someone without a copy might have been able to help.

Sorry, there's a major typo in that last post. The answer begins with a P - definitely!
