Full grid but not quite sure how to finish it. I can see that changing letters 1,3,5,7 in the unclued will give the final .... but that's not enough cells - what am i missing?

operational must be the extra so I guessed at date being the defn so went for era??

Hi I have a full grid, the unclued light, an object and another character describing the start position. I cannot find where in the grid to adjust cells for the final. Can anyone out there please help?

christamac - can you help please with unclued light, object and character - on bottom row I have SAT?OFE?

Hi kirky, you have an error in 39d - it is ACM (air chief marshal). The unclued light is a character but in a different 'position'. Look for another character in last column. Then you may see the object. Don't want to give too much away! Hope it helps.

Thanks christamac - followed your hints and see what you mean.
By the end of the opera "unclued" is healed so maybe he goes in the grid in correct order now, but that's still only 8 cells? ... and some new words aren't real...........
